In late fall, pulling up the old spent looking plants as I did today and putting the garden to bed for the winter, I don't enjoy so much. It is one of those necessary tasks with the changes of the season, that come spring, I am so glad that I put forth the effort.
The seasons have raced by this year like one of the gorgeous Thoroughbreds at the Keeneland Race Course a few miles away. And now, can you believe that we are at the beginning of the Holiday season of Thanksgiving and Christmas? (Am I getting old)?
December is always a great time for our repeat guests or new guests to experience the Inn in all its gorgeous Christmas finery and special seasonal food and music.
Christmas Happenings!
This year, we are beginning our Christmas Events with a Sunday brunch (December 8th, 12:00-2:00 and 1:00-3:00. It can be for overnight guests or for anyone who makes a reservation. Limited seating. Cost is only $30. (includes tax)
And our ever popular Christmas Teas (December 14th and 15th). If you have ever attended one of our teas, you know that we put heart and soul into them (and a LOT of great food and organic teas). It seems as detailed as planning a wedding! Our guests LOVE our teas and repeat base for our teas is very strong. Cost is $30. (includes tax) Again, limited seating but some spots are left.
We are also having a wonderful old fashioned Yuletide Gathering at the Inn on the 21st from 6:00 to 9:00 p.m. Cost is only $20.(includes tax) Live music and singing. Great food and fabulous, festive decor. The Inn is gorgeous anytime but is especially LOVELY at Christmas.
